If website A links to website B, it
indicates a vote from website A to website B in the eyes of the
search engines. To explain that again, let's say website A is
linking to website B using the keywords "Buy XXXX" in the link.
Google sees this as a vote for website B to indicate that website B
is about "Buy XXXX" or is relevant to "Buy XXXX". So when a user
types "Buy XXXX" into the search engine, the website who has the
most votes for "Buy XXXX" has the most chance of showing up in the
top results for that search term. So if website B is looking to rank
#1 for the keywords "Buy XXXX" they need only have many other
websites linking to them with those keywords.
When enough people link to your
website, google will start to move your site up in the rankings.
Essentially it's a popularity contest and the search engines are
watching. The search engines want to have the most popular sites in
the top spots of their rankings, why? That's their whole job, the
search engines have decided that if everyone else is talking about
your site, they want to as well.

Answer 1. The more websites that join

are you going to value more?

server from different places around the country/world, and is owned
